Pinecrest Bakery’s Esponrru de Ron Named One of the Best Bites of June by Burger Beast

When one of Miami’s most trusted food voices drops his list of the best things he’s eaten all month, you know we’re going to click. So imagine our excitement when we saw Pinecrest Bakery featured in Burger Beast’s June newsletter — and not just a mention, but a spot in his top 5!

Our esponrru de ron — that rich, spongy, rum-soaked bite of nostalgia — was highlighted as one of the standout eats of the month. Here’s what he had to say:

“Marcela and I usually hit up Pinecrest Bakery at night for cafe con leche, which means that the esponrru (rum cake sponge sticks) will be sold out by then. Only about three to five are made for each store. Last week, at the grand opening of their Westchester location, I seized the opportunity to buy all three — sorry, not sorry.”
